CHICAGO – Getting There

Landing at O'Hare

We went to Chicago on September 12^th, 13^th and 14^th.  We were able to steal the last few days of summer, so some of the attractions listed may not be available during the colder weather.   

We came in on American Airlines and we were happy it was a direct flight from Raleigh, NC.  Both of us are members of American Airlines mileage program, AAdvantage.   We hope to accumulate enough miles to upgrade to business class on a trip to Philippines.

We went to Shaumburg to work a trade show so we rented a car.  We dropped the car back off at O'Hare and then took the CTA from O'Hare to downtown.  The blue line is convenient and cheap.  Only $1.50 each to ride to the Clark/Lake stop and we then took a $5 taxi to our hotel, the Embassy Suites.
